Refund policy

Every KidLore book is custom made for your family and printed on demand. Because of that, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If something is wrong with your order, we will make it right.

Damaged, misprinted, or wrong items

Please check your order when it arrives. If a book is damaged, misprinted, or not what you ordered, email hello@kidlorebooks.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will reprint and ship a replacement at no cost. You do not need to send the original book back unless we ask.

Book creation

If you cancel before we begin illustrating, we refund the full creation price. Once illustration has started, the creation price is not refundable.

Revisions

Your book includes one round of text changes and one round of picture fixes at the proof stage. A round is one list of changes sent together. Additional rounds are $20 each. Fixes for our own mistakes, such as a character looking different from page to page, never count as a round.

Print at home PDFs

Because they are delivered instantly, PDFs are not refundable. If your file will not open or print, email us and we will fix it.

Sale items and gift cards

Sale items and gift cards are not refundable.

Refunds

When a refund is approved, we will let you know by email, and it will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund, please contact us at hello@kidlorebooks.com.
